Founder Story
Santa Stops Twice™ was created by Adrienne Encinias, a mother of two who wanted to preserve the magic of Christmas for families whose holidays don’t always fit the traditional picture-perfect calendar.
The idea was born when Adrienne’s realized her husband was scheduled to work on Christmas Day for 3 years in a row while their children were still in the precious years of truly believing in Santa. Like many parents, Adrienne realized how quickly those childhood moments pass and how deeply families long to experience them together. Wanting to protect that sense of wonder for her children, and also allow the family to enjoy Christmas together, she imagined a simple but meaningful idea.
What if Santa could Stop Twice? The tradition began with a handmade book, a tiny mailbox beneath the tree, and a heartfelt letter inviting her daughter to choose a special Family Christmas Day™ on the day everyone could finally be together. What followed became one of their family’s most cherished holiday memories.
What started as a deeply personal tradition soon revealed something much bigger: countless families experience holidays shaped by work schedules, service careers, healthcare shifts, and other real-life circumstances.
The Santa Stops Twice™ series was created to remind children that Santa Understands™ and Christmas magic will still find them, wherever they are, and whatever their family story may look like. Today, Santa Stops Twice™ is growing into a heartfelt keepsake book series and holiday tradition brand designed to bring comfort, wonder, and meaningful memories to modern families everywhere.

About The Illustrator
Nadia Ronquillo is an award-winning children’s book illustrator for hire, a visual development artist, and a content creator originally from Ecuador.
With a degree in Graphic Design and Audiovisual Production, she began her career as a freelance children’s book illustrator early, collaborating remotely with animation studios and publishers across the globe.
Her work spans children’s books, animated shorts, and television — bringing stories to life with vibrant, emotionally driven art that resonates with young readers everywhere.
